In order to facilitate ease of doing investments, SEBI has issued the Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/POD-1/P/CIR/2024/81 dated June 10, 2024 with regard to Non-submission of ‘Choice of Nomination’
- Doing away with freezing of Demat Accounts and Mutual Fund Folios for existing investors.
- To remove freeze on payment of corporate benefits and service of physical folios.

“SEBI vide Circular No. SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/37 dated March 16, 2023, revised the norms/ procedural requirements for processing service requests with regard to furnishing of PAN, Address with PIN, email address, mobile number, bank account details and nomination by holders of physical securities.
- Folios wherein any one of the cited document/ details are not available on or after October 01, 2023, such folios shall be frozen by the Registrars and Transfer Agent of the Company (RTA)”.
